I remember the episode, don't remember the hand though. Sounds like it was during the better period of Red Dwarf.

The UK government is currently pushing for a system that monitors all internet communication and then highlights people, emails, downloads, etc, for further examination. They're even using the same moral justification that Finch used. If it's a machine that is watching you then your privacy hasn't been violated.
I can't remember it on red drawf, but in Doctor who they grow a new doctor from his old hand.
or torchwood/doctor who?
I considered them morally ambiguous rather than not bad. To me this episode felt like that ambiguousness was settled. (but also a little like the writers writing themselves out of a corner).
Two thoughts
and naan means bread, but I still ask for naan bread with my curry.
ah, the why cant we just be friends subtext of the dark knight rises ?
I think technically a faraday cage really is a metal/wire mesh box. Cars act as Faraday cages in spite of the insulation from the tyres. The cage creates a path or least resistance around objects for electricity so it doesn't have to pass through the air, or objects. If the box is grounded then electricity will follow…
Wind up charger. Win for the post apocalyptic angry birds.
So an EMP pulse can be defended against using a Faraday cage? Does that mean that any device inside a metal container is safe? Eg. inside a car, in which case There's a serious flaw in the Tom Cruise War of The Worlds. Also Wouldn't devices with metal cases be protected. My desktop computer for example, (but not the…
Another perspective is that WWII was the product of the more powerful countries response to WWI of financially crippling Germany. If we'd been kind and understanding to our enemies sooner the society that produced the Nazi party might not have existed.
Is that Patrick Stewart? I thought it was the E4 guy
Not as campy fun as the original and not as knightmarish as return to Oz, this just looks kinda like vegetales.
This episode was the first time when I cared which world was the real world, or which was a dream. (but I can't now remember why, plus I think it was because of something I'd misunderstood, rather than something intentional) still I enjoyed this episode on the whole. I think the 'religious person is actually the bad…
same here. I never really worked out what it was for. facebook never had that issue, first it was for looking at friends photos, then it was for sharing youtube clips, now its to find out what newspapers people read and wishing people happy birthday.
Maybe it says something about my personality, but a simple cipher like this would do more to get my attention than to hide something from me. My suggestion would be to learn an obscure language that others won't know, like, Klingon, Elfish, or Japanese.
I think it would be a great idea. although I personally wouldn't make it explicitly firefly. Maybe it could focus on a show that was to firefly what galaxy quest was to star trek. or just cameo some firefly characters.
Tucker & Dale Vs Evil is probably my favourite film right now. (either that or SUPER)
I don't like it, it makes my eyes hurt.
