You’re not pushing hard enough if working out isn’t working.

Screw the flat belly! Go you! Losing 76 pounds in 15 months is no small feat!! Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Have you met Clarks? I bought a pair of quilted periwinkle blue loafers and coppery oxfords from them that are divine to look at and to wear.

Just FYI, those of us who don’t walk around in heels all day are judging the hell out of you for being smug and nasty about it.

They’re fun every once in a while. Plus on special occasions, most women’s formal wear doesn’t look right without them. I’d never wear them every day, though.

because they look good. because they make you a bit taller. because they’re sexy. because they compliment a particular outfit. because we want to.

Not only that, but why would you tell them? I mean, do other families talk about money at all, ever? Mine sure doesn’t. And if i’m visiting and we go out to eat (super rare) we all at least attempt to pay for ourselves. At a very minimum we put our drinks on a separate tab from the food and handle that separately so

I think some people feel forced to confront their own habits when you try and clean up or change yours. That’s uncomfortable so they just lash out at those of us trying to improve ourselves.

I’m almost afraid to ask what part of the body is being cleaned with the dish scrubber on the “her’s” caddy.

Fridge and washer every 5 years?!? Are you insane? This message brought to you by the fridge and washer union, motto: “buy yet another new machine today.”

US - no. Europe - yes.

With a well-designed study, one might be able to make the case that the risk of disease is outweighed by the benefit of eating more salad because, let’s face it, some of us aren’t going to bother making salad on a busy evening if it isn’t already chopped up and put in a bag.

What am I missing here? If he lettuce has e-coli in it anyway, and washing it with bleach 3 times doesn’t get rid of it, then why does buying your own lettuce make a difference? Isn’t the lettuce all coming from the same place, just some of it is chopped and bagged?

This is a great example of absolute vs relative risk. Sure, using a bagged salad might be considerably higher in risk than preparing salad yourself, but the risk is increasing from almost non existent to a level of near non existence slightly higher than the previous level of near non existence.

Don’t confuse your nice new 4x4 with an Abrams main battle tank, and assume you can drive through 8+ inches of snow without getting stuck.

I have done this in my Baja the night before this:

This is incredibly broad. Disney has a ridiculous amount of resorts ranging from 3 star to 5 star, and even camping resorts. I would say not stay at the particular resort you stayed at, since saying not to stay at any is like saying not to stay at any hotel in Miami cause you got bed bugs at a Hilton there once.

“Embrace the suck” is actually my race mantra.

Here’s how to phrase this more constructively:

“One feature I would like to see is that the Fitbit would remind you to get up and move. This is not currently included.”

This does away with your personal opinion no one cares about and lets people make their own decision with the added information you’re giving.
