They’re cheap (for the most part) and super accessible.

I take my Pops out of the box and display them.  I don’t see the point of keeping them in the box, they sell like crazy and won’t be worth anything until years after I’m dead.  And maybe not even then.

People started buying Beanies because they thought they would be worth more someday, not cuz they liked them or what they represent. Other than a few here and there, the majority of Pops are worthless beyond the value one gets from enjoying them. Beanies never had that emotional connection.
