THAT. I mean they could have implemented the plot they’re trying to do with exponentially more skill, but having it actually be about “Skrull politics” without this absurd plan to start nuclear war—is Gravik sure they can survive ALL the consequences of that, not just the radiation?—is much more promising.

Probably. Zillow says it’s only worth $2 million. DeBlasio also owns a second home in Brooklyn that belonged to his mother and he rents out.

I’ve been thinking alternate universe shenanigans. Ciric can travel between worlds so maybe she just ends up in one where Geralt is slightly different.

Wrong. According to Twitter’s last annual SEC filing they technically had a net loss of $221m in 2021 (down from a $1,135m loss the year prior), but they were likely going to be profitable for the full calendar year 2022. They would have even been profitable in 2021 if either: they didn’t have to pay out $766m for a

The CinemaScore is a B+ (same as Flash), which is basically a death knell. Opening weekend audiences are usually overly generous to big tentpole IPs. Being in the B’s is not good and suggests word of mouth isn’t going to give the film legs. Globally, it doesn’t help that Indiana Jones isn’t nearly as popular a

I think you’re right about a slower drop-off for Dial of Destiny. Based on the audience at my showing on Sunday, the movie will appeal to an older audience than a superhero movie. Those movies tend to stick around longer.

BTW: I’m watching Elemental vs. The Flash over the next month. There’s a chance that Elemental

Guardians still being in the top ten is a testamate to the fact that maybe movies do need a bit of space before home release. I’m sure it disappears after next Friday when you can rent it at home

I think the action scenes went on too long and the movie took itself too seriously. The “Logan” style of having the hero having lost everything, leave a trail of death wherever he goes and end accepting death didn’t fit for me for the adventure story of Indiana Jones.

I missed the Spielberg camera style throughout

I wouldn’t have minded spending a bit more time on ‘life of the chief of security’ we got at the beginning. That was a hoot, and like you said, La’an’s so serious that seeing her having to enforce the rules on people that don’t want to hear it was a treat.

But then what would we, the pedantic nerds, obsess about as each new date approaches?

Google/FB are afraid the Canadian law will be copied by the US, US being their biggest market. Furthermore, EC is thinking of doing the same.

With the Australian law it was the other way around. Due to the boycott the Australian government came around and softened the law in favor of big tech (Google/Facebook). Link is below

The trailer certainly looks like they’re leaning into that theme.

You’d be surprised at how unconfined you’ll feel on one of these ships.  I took a cruise on Allure of the Seas a decade ago, and it was easy find things to do, and find places to be alone.  It helps if you like to eat, like I do.

The woman was released from a local jail late last week

to be fair, they kind of have in the past.

You won’t see some random person swarming a Taylor Swift stage

I mean, technically? But NDAs don’t stop anything themselves. As a practical matter, all they do is give you the right to sue if the other party blabs anyway. Some random isn’t going to have the money to make any difference for Cardi B, and if it’s a celeb, she’d be spending the next few years in court as the tabloids

FWIW, not all the people flying on Dragon are professional astronauts. I do agree, though, that I’d far, far far, far rather fly on Dragon than climb into something like Titan. There’s a hell of a lot more oversight on Dragon. Sure, your chance of death is acknowledged to be less than 1 in 270. You’re riding the fire;

Absolutely. I even thought about mentioning him but didn’t. It’s really liked that in Die Hard you saw him struggling with pain and uncertainty. They both managed it in subtly without wallowing and it worked.
