Ford’s shift on unionization was amusing. Supposedly he was ready to just outright nuke his own company rather than have it unionize, but his wife told him she’d leave him if he destroyed the family legacy.

They tend to be smaller than male astronauts as well, and size is very much a negative when it comes to astronauts. If we really wanted to save on mass and space for long-term crewed missions, we’d send small people.

The dragons stuff is why I always thought the Dance was an odd choice for a show adaptation. It’s mostly wars and dragon stuff! 

The Season 1 premiere had a lot more action, though, to start things off. They had the tournament plus Daemon’s brutal raid on the city’s criminals. 

They’re pretending to be rat catchers, and the dog is part of that. 

I actually do think that particular child murder on screen would have been too much for many viewers, and cutting away was the right choice.

It’s an interesting choice to have the premiere be mostly character work and intrigue without much action until the end. It works, because the characters and casting for the show are just so good - that’s been true since the beginning of the first season.

He finally found a way to talk around the NDA Swift probably had him sign!

I wish they’d renewed it earlier. It will probably be another two year wait for the next season.

I think they can be good. The live-action Jungle Book movie from 2016 was good (better ending than the animated film), and the live-action Aladdin film was good when they weren’t awkwardly forcing in the original songs (Jasmine’s feminist stuff was pretty ham-handled as well, but eh).

Bad guy will probably be whoever the most famous actor is in it (besides Daniel Craig obviously). 

That’s the fun of it. He’s the obvious choice for who did it - so obvious that it seems too obvious both to us and Blanc, like there should be a twist there. I found it pretty entertaining.

I successfully managed to see both Knives Out and Glass Onion in theaters, and I hope I can do the same for this one as well during its limited theatrical run. 

The defense I’ve hard is that it summarizes results, and some of those prominent results are reddit joke posts. But that just means it’s too dumb to tell when a search result is a joke and should be excluded.

Aside from Tesla’s Chinese sales in general, the Tesla supply chain depends pretty heavily on processed Lithium from a Chinese company for its batteries. 

Because it is astonishingly cheap. 

Came up in the video - people have complained about it, said it’s more like a glorified Star Wars themed mall. 

It’s so wild. As she points out, you’re paying the same price as the top suite on a Disney Cruise, but you’re getting something so much worse. 

I loved the tidbit in there about how you can almost always spot a paid Disney influencer shill because Disney makes them awkwardly use the exact names for all the attractions and park. It’s not “Star Wars Land” at “Disney World”, it’s “Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge” at “Walt Disney World Resort in Florida”.

I can see why NASA turned it down. It’s a good offer, but I’d be nervous too about having Isaacman and his crew trying this stuff on a second space-walk without a lot of the other stuff that the Shuttle astronauts had to do the repair.
