I think with all of the progress horror has made into more serious, artful territory (which for the record I’m all for), there is a lot to be said for a movie like this one that just wants to entertain you as much as possible, and isn’t afraid to get weird, even if it is at the expense of some conventional logic.

I really try not to be uncharitable, but there’s so SO many takes on this trailer where I’m just left rolling my eyes and thinking there’s a gender and racial component to the complaints.
