Kind of curious what was behind the man filming things. One would have expected things to have not gone so well for him with the police turning tail so meekly. Was there a larger crowd watching? Too many witnesses?

Speaking of dealers asking for what they can, worth pointing out that during RS fever when they first came out, we had used a particular Ford dealer who had been very good to us for years, but had moved on from them when I had bought my ST. I got a call from them when the RS came out and they said that they had an RS…
Actually, though, I do have to throw just a touch of shade at the dealers as well. Yes, paying $5000 over MSRP for an Si because of Type R fever is is crazy. But asking for it is crazy is well. The correct answer is: the whole panel are loonies.
My first tank was about thirteen. I am expecting a lifetime average of around eighteen or so. I drive a company vehicle for work so most of my driving is having fun around the house, which would put me in the toilet, but I do live outside the Twin Cities area, so I make the occasional weekend trips in that are going…
Just bought a Focus RS and spent the first 300 miles or so just driving back from the dealer and around my house. Took it on the freeway for the first time on a roughly 80 mile round trip last weekend and the computer now shows the lifetime average at 20.7 mpg. I took a picture of that, because baby, it is all…
Not ever that much of a punishment to put them in the trunk, in a pinch.
Actually, the white RS is kind of cool because with the black accents, it sort of looks like a stormtrooper helmet.
But I have always been more of a sleeper sort of a car person anyway, which is why the default STs and SSs were more my speed, and black is about as nondescript as you can get. Something that you can go…
Honestly, it did take it time to grow on me. I bought a 2014 in 2015 at a nice discount that was pretty much loaded, colour included. That colour would never have been my first choice at that point —I was a basic black kind of person — but a deal is a deal, and now I pretty much opt for the obnoxious premium paints.
By the way, yes, that is my ST behind the RS. Interestingly enough, despite the fact that the Tangerine Scream is the premium paint on that model, the dealer dragged their feet the most over the paint.
Oh, for the RS, there is no other way to fly. But that Orange Blast Metallic on the SS is a thing of beauty. Chevy/Holden definitely saved the best for last with that one. Had it all worked out differently. . .
I am 215 pounder. Never had issues with the seats in my ST, and am perfectly happy with the ones in the RS. If anything, the RS is easier because the bolsters are a little floppier on the bottom sides. But everyone is different.
Almost. Almost. Then a nearby Ford dealer just one month ago gave me $2000 over top trade-in value on my ST despite the fact that the entire front plastic grill needed to be replaced after some nimnul backed into me in a parking lot and drove off ($1200 estimate from a reliable body shop) and welcome to my life RS. …
There was a Maserati sitting on one of the local small town used car lots that I drive by. It was there for a long time. When I told my wife about it, she told me that I should go make them an offer, because the dealer would be motivated to sell. Which was doubtless true, but not sufficiently so to motivate me to…
Just how forgettable is Oldsmobile in general? I owned a late Eighties/early Nineties model back sometime in the, oh. . . well. . .
Time for my usual plug any time that you post an article about miso (and someone asked a question elsewhere, too.) If you are wondering about what brands or types of miso to by, I cannot recommend South River Miso enough. They are a small family-owned company located in Massachusetts, and they make all their miso in…
Don’t go down that aisle. Order online, and only from one place: South River. They make miso in the strictly traditional way, relatively small-scale, and it is all fabulous:
It sounded like you were holding your breath. Shame, because you would have died.
Meaning, I could not be happier that she is the one making the show.
I will have to get back to you when I have a complaint to make about DuVernay being the one guiding this project. Do not hold your breath in the meantime.
This, for the record, is the recipe that I adapted, keeping the temperature, but cutting the time down to 24 hours, and throwing three or four “ribs” into each bag. Like I said, I tried pan frying them first and was not too impressed, but ultimately broiled them for a couple of minutes on each side. You may have…
