Should have read that last sentence a few more times before I hit post. Oh, well, I think that the meaning is still vaguely there.

Ah, you already quoted the lamb line again. Ignore my reply on a different thread!

Trying to hold the series to any kind of continuity is a fool’s errand. There is none. That is why for most people, myself included, the changes in Casino Royale are in no way distracting. We have already accepted so many changes and lapses over the years, so why quibble when they are done by a movie that works so

Quoted before, must be quoted again:

Not an excuse. Well, it is in the sense that I certainly agree that he largely had lousy scripts (not counting Goldeneye,) but he should still be able to stand up on his own in a few moments here and there. Campbell made him look pretty good in Goldeneye, but the more that I watch him in the other movies, the less

Craig is clearly on top for me now, though admittedly by a small margin. He will have to screw up pretty royally in SPECTRE to knock himself back down. Not going to happen.

The main engine of the plot — LeChiffre setting up a game to win back money to get him out of trouble — is directly out of the book. Baccarat, not poker, but Fleming was a consummate gamesman, and games would play a huge part in a good chunk of the books that he wrote. He even has an extremely tense

You just devoted 1,265 words (not counting captions & titles) to analyzing Children of the Corn.

Oklahoma can go with it.

I keep waiting for someone to reanimate that GIF and have Bugs saw off Texas instead. It would give Bugs a whole new meme lease on life.

I just made pho this weekend. Nothing special:

Glad to read that Mazda was not just Wankeling us off.

Medic: “How many fingers am I holding up?”

I had a plain old ordinary base model 1990 Cavalier. That was the most bulletproof car that I have ever owned. Mock Nineties GM all that you want, but I have zero doubt that the car is still on the road, somewhere, running like a top.

Apparently, John Herbert Sullivan has no issues whatsoever capitalizing Any Word He Damned Well Pleases.

Molten Orange on the FiST is infinitely better. I was actually more interested in that car, and the colour really helped, but after finally sitting in one it is just too small for me. The FoST fit me better, even if the colour did not. But Great Merciful Zot, if they offered the FoST in Molten Orange!

Statistically, the whole car is a tri-coat metallic “Kick Me” sign.

Fortunately, Werther’s still offers that two tone:

Also not in photo: cost of repairs once reliability isn’t.
