I don’t mind talking about it. It’s actually really interesting and shows how wrong the “life begins at conception” mantra is.

The Republican health plans would have women like her paying $26K more a year just to maintain insurance after breast cancer treatment. Women with metastatic breast cancer would have paid $176K a year out of pocket to stay alive. Poor women with breast cancer would have been essentially sentenced to death, since there

My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 53, she was in remission for 15 years until she got diagnosed again this past February. I was 8 when she was first diagnosed, now I am 23, and I have to say that it is a lot fucking scarier when you’re a grownup and fully realize that your mom has a

UGH, too much cuuuuute, lol. Here is my Franklin, who is 8 months old.

They want to fight each other, they cannot fight each other, they cannot even escape each other, they can only run at each other endlessly on a treadmill, harnessed. That is very clearly torture (of the Tantalus or Sisyphus variety).

No. This isn’t an imaginary story about dog fights. This is two actual dogs strapped to treadmills running themselves ragged in order to rip the other one apart. If you look at pictures of it (below), it’s likely this isn’t the first time they’ve fought other dogs. This is inhumane and cruel. This is torture for the

I’ll give you that an art installation featuring animals trying to fight each other is “provocative” but when you involve living things that have no say in the matter and deliberately create stressful situations for them, you definitely crossed the line and then drove cross-country to put that line out of sight behind

Mickey, our 50lb rescue mix, so happy about the new throw pillows on the couch.

Not at all, glad you came!

Here’s my Buster enjoying a belly rub:

“threats of violence”?? What about the fcking real violence depicted?

Derp Dog is pleased to have a thread:

I really resent being forced to agree with PETA.

Also, those dogs have healed, old fighting wounds. Fuck these people.

I wish the hundreds of fighting dogs I care for each year could visit the Guggenheim. While a very few are vicious beyond what can reasonably be managed, most of them are actually very sweet pups once they’ve gotten some non-abusive treatment and training.

Wow I never thought about “the social conditions of globalization” until I looked at these dogs being tortured good job nice art well done so smart

I share Doris Day’s opinion...

Art can be real fuckin’ stupid sometimes, and it could not possibly get any more stupid than when it puts me on the same side of an argument as god damn fucking PETA.

Naturally pugnacious, my voluptuous left ass cheek. That sentence alone should be enough to have the show cancelled.

“The curators of the exhibition hope that viewers will consider why the artists produced it and what they may be saying about the social conditions of globalization and the complex nature of the world we share.”
