Thanks to Uncle Remus’s explanation, I now have a clearer understanding of black (african american) use of the phrase “Whose (person) is this.. Being unfamiliar with it, I found the reference to needing an asswhooping combined in a worrying way with the unfamiliar phrase and the male user name to suggest a poor

Thanks for clarifying that. It is very true, I have no contact with black (african american) culture other than through The Root. I hadn’t noticed that phrase before, and stand corrected.
The only defense I have is that I connected that phrase, and the mention of her needing an ass-whooping in the same post, and found

That does come off as rather sexist. She doesn’t belong to anybody and is the only person responsible for her actions. Women own themselves.

Given the origin and history of beauty pageants, this is not surprising.

Trying so, so hard not to make jokes about how Flatbush is probably a good description of this woman.

How awful. Based on the very limited information we have, I’d say his wife did pretty well at handling this very difficult scenario she was presented with. Yes, she could have done better. But just as we instinctively pull back our hand when we touch something painful, when faced with an overwhelming emotional shock

Perfect!

A male praying mantis, perhaps?

Not only does it not give him a pass, it probably explains part of his ongoing pattern of behavior. Seems like that apple didn’t fall far from the paternal tree.
And geez louise, those triggers for his abuse - that’s not triggers, that’s excuses. Vile, vile man.

Lynsey, dear - you do know that winning The Roots annual Wypipo award isn’t something to aspire to, right?

And now my own memories, of sick ‘games’, are overwhelming me. You are incredibly brave and strong to publish this Ms Judge. Thankyou.

This came up while chatting with my parents (we’re all white and Australian)

That would have been ok. A bit of body space between them wouldn’t hurt either.

Anglo-Irish Australian here. Yeah, Anglo-Australian works better, seeing as we’ve had greek-australian, italian-australian etc, as descriptors for ages. European-australian covers a lot of cultural territory. Not all of whom benefitted from full white privilege. Plus European Australian is kind of likje saying

Technically it’s more abuse via negligence and indifference.

This man is - the poster boy for the overlap on the venn diagram of white people who never made it out of the shallow end of the gene pool, and white supremacists.

Or paddling around the shallow end of the human gene pool.

What a vile woman.
And she needs to have her wages garnished for the rest of her life as compensation for the damage she did.

That dress - Wow! I’m all Yas Kween/Slay/Fierce, all at once! It - it’s perfect!! This gif is me now, wanting to laugh, cry, and applaud all at once.

Most death camps didn’t even use Zyklon B. Just diesel engines and good ol’ carbon monoxide. Zyklon B was faster, apparently.
