I just filled up my TDI last night at $2.70 per gallon (before my 5% cash back credit card). I’m good for the next 700 miles which might take me a month or two. We bought an off-lease Fiat 500e for beans and have been driving the hell out of it. We’ve already gone 12K miles in just 7 months so far. I’ll probably

It’s CarThrottle. You have to have realistic expectations for them. In other words, incredibly low expectations.

I like this one...........1951 Buick LeSabre concept car.

Maybe it’s just how they copy + paste the old pop-ups onto the newer cars, but those all look significantly worse than their actual forms. Pop-ups are cool, but they had their day and maybe if they had incorporated the more modern designs into what they tried to do in this video they wouldn’t look so bad.

They did this all wrong. Don’t try and just paste retro lights onto the new model, you have to actually incorporate the new design language into it as well.

IMO the whole reason for pop-up headlights is that they are hidden during the day. When popped-up, most are unsightly and just add drag. That’s why I never liked the 928 headlights since they were always visible whether up or down. These renders do nothing for me because they only show the pop-ups in their ugliest

I remember the odd-even days for getting gas. For those not in the know - you could only fill up based on the last number on your plate. If it was odd, you could only fill up on odd days. Same went for even numbers.

I’ve never understood people who will go great lengths and inconvenience to save an insignificant amount of money on most things.

I’ve never understood people who will go great lengths and inconvenience to save an insignificant amount of money on gas.

I’ll always remember the Monday after Katrina, driving to work and looking to top off my gas tank. Every station was selling for $4.20⁹ except one. That place had a line out onto the road because it was selling at $4.19⁹.

Damn that sucks man.

Texas resident here. Nobody is filling up their cars in fear of paying an extra $5 per fill up. People are filling up because gas is getting impossible to find. I would gladly pay 2008 prices for gas right now.

Thanks to all the panic and people rushing the pumps, my car is currently sitting in the back lot of a Sunnco station somewhere in San Marcos with an empty tank. Don’t know when gas will be back. Life is good I guess.

To late I’m already here.

As someone in the harvey aftermath, and as a message to all the people filling up multiple containers of gas. Stop. Just fill up your tank and try not to go places you dont need to go for a while. save some for the rest of us cause i doubt you can get gas out of the trash can you used to fill up anyways.

Nope. Camo is ineffective. Try John Cena.

Shouldve painted it camo

I think he meant that as an insult. If it weren’t for the straight/angular aesthetic, I could easily confuse that interior for an early-2000's Chevy plastic dash.

Am I the only one shocked that the dashboard in that thing is from an upmarket brand in 2013?
