The thing about Bangaa and Nu Mou specifically is we only saw Bangaa in the Return to Ivalice storyline and Nu Mou don’t even seem to exist on Source as far as we know, not to mention that the Moogles are the classic ones, not the more Lalafell-ish Ivalice ones.

Third person doesn’t work with this type of game. It would be like Dynasty Warriors mixed with Earth Defense Force with 300 times the number enemies on screen. You wouldn’t be able to see anything. 

Nah, I loved Diablo 3. Sure, it’s style was more cartoon-y but it’s not like Diablo 4 is a hyper-realistic game in comparison.

To say that it didn’t have real competition is false imo but Sony just wrecked everything in its way with the PS1 and PS2.
