Ummm, no they didn’t. It was still the same mess as before even with critical mode. (which was just slightly better than Proud LVL1)

Same, I LOVE Kingdom Hearts but everything that came after Dream Drop Distance (including it) was just garbage that made the story retroactively a lot worse.

That is literally the heart of the issue, and their concern that they won’t be able to do another race due to development time needed to do so is why they made the decision they did with one of each race.

It at least looks playable. I tried Puzzle Fighter on the PSX again a few months ago and it was incredibly hard for some reason

Either race could have been done with both genders, with the other race potentially (and at this point, due to patch cycle pace and development timelines, likely) never added.

Wait, so it’s possible to introduce Hrothgar and Viera with one gender each but not Viera or Hrothgar with both? That makes no sense.
