Uhm, I don’t know where you were but that was always the case with Monster Hunter. Until MHW the franchise didn’t even get real expansions besides Frontier and the (in japanese more common) slightly improved versions.

While MHW is a bit faster and more fluid the way combat was designed was always a design decision. If you use a great sword you are supposed to be really slow because, you know, large pieces of metal are really heavy and hard to swing.

I mean you don’t need to spoil everything of FFVII but everyone most likely knows about Aerith. (...and those that do not either don’t care or lived under a rock)

Well, KH3 was supposed to come out in october-december 2018 more or less so it would have been possible.

Well, it wasn’t that hard to predict that we’ll see FFVIIR in the next months. KH3 got released and SE can focus on FFVIIR now... except if they FINALLY learned to manage their resources and they developed in parallel with KH3. (which would maybe mean a December 2019-early 2020 release)
