I have no problem with a lot of buildup but it sounded like it has 30 hours of mostly uninteresting story etc and only then starts to pick up.

Yeah, I can understand that. FFXIV devoured a lot of my time in the last two years which meant that I played other games with huge breaks in between sometimes. (like Persona 5, the only exceptions I can think of right now are Dragon Quest XI and Kingdom Hearts 3)

I can understand that although I think it still sounds pretty good for midi. (you know, before it gets repetitive)

Right now I’m playing FFXII - The Zodiac Age, Persona 3, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix on Critical Mode LVL1, Rocket League from time to time, I’ll start FFIX with my best friend this weekend and I’m also playing FFXIV.

If you mean in terms of story it’s really easy to watch the last cutscenes you’ve seen on YT, at least that’s enough for me to remember most of the plot in most cases. If you mean in terms of sidequests etc it depends. In DQXI I think it’s almost impossible to lose track of what you can do and what you have to do to

My brother even offered me his PS4 copy to keep, but the fact the Switch version is getting the orchestral soundtrack vs the PS4's midi one is enough to make me wait

If you play a JRPG for 30 hours and the story isn’t a bit interesting you’re most likely not playing a good one. Even the last 2 Persona games with their slow start, start to pick up after a few hours. I mean, the story doesn’t have to blow you away with it’s brilliancy right from the start but it should at least be

Also that yeah, I had to get used to that too.

Biggest Y I K E S of my life

I had a similar but contrary experience when I got my first (normal) glasses 6 years ago. My brain had to adjust because it was hard for me to correctly perceive distances (which meant that I had to double check while stepping over curbstones to get onto sidewalks etc) and I felt queasy because of it. After a day or

If you didn’t understand the layout of that one I don’t know what your problem is. You can even read each cluster of panels in any order you like.

The Archie comics (while being a mess after a certain point) had way better writing than the games tho so that is at least understandable, I never heard of anyone that was into the story of the games after Sonic Heroes more or less. (maybe Sonic Lost World because the characters especially the villains were pretty fun

If you count spin-offs as well Final Fantasy would be way larger than Omega Forces musous. I think FF got like 2-3 games a year between FFIV and FFXIII.

Nah, not really. Newer one have systems that change things up a bit and even in the main Dynasty Warriors series gameplay evolved until DW8. (let’s not talk about DW9)

They’re unevolved, almost always bland, rarely challenging

But they didn’t announce it for switch yet. Maybe a port will be developed at some point but that would’ve been the best time to announce P5(R) on Switch

With Eggman and the human I would agree that their designs are bad but the graphics itself weren’t. (...and imo the other designs are almost the same as usual)

Yeah, I think so too. For me it’s a bit like watching a trash movie. It was maybe done as a serious story but it’s so ridiculous that no one can take it seriously. But I understand if someone doesn’t like that.

True, but that feels more like a trash movie to me. It was taken seriously and maybe even still is but I would guess it’s because they know how ridiculous it is. You know what I mean?

Tbh it doesn’t look that much better than the original. The levels looked like almost perfect recreations of the original without any improvements, the “wall jump” mechanics weren’t fun in the original either and at some places Sonic seemed to slow down instead of going faster or at least maintaining his speed.
