Such a thing would be impossible to balance without gutting the entire fantasy of the class.

I think calling things essential leads to gatekeeping like my experience with Eva. Although I wasn’t pushed to watch it, I just heard that sentence over and over and at one point I had a chance to watch the movies and because I liked those (well, except the third one, that one is a mixed bag for me) I watched the

I watched (and enjoyed) a lot of different things, also because I started to watch anime when it aired on TV here.

Damn, that music from Red Hot Child Pornography is sick!

I’ll take your example for this:

But from that point of view you would even watch Astro Boy and I wouldn’t tell anyone I know to go and watch that.

Don’t get me wrong, Eva had a huge impact back when it aired. I know it was a very special anime for its time and it can get credit for that.

Then let’s say that Eva is still that unique, (which it isn’t) is it essential?

Then just say it’s great but not essential.

Without reading the article (because, you know, spoilers) stop calling any work of any medium essential.

Well, that’s nothing new.

I’ll say it like this: I expected something like Vanquish but a bit more open and with Mechs but we got Monster Hunter X Earth Defense Force.

Not officially as far as I know. Maybe fans made a fix for that too.

Oh boy, that video makes the mods for the FFVI PC port look more interesting and uninteresting at the same time.

I know that but tbh I don’t think the CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment or Sony itself for example would’ve taken that pay cut back then.

That something that was a incredible act of kindness from Iwata back then imo. Every other CEO at the time (and even now of course) would’ve layed off a huge number of employees but instead he cut down on his paycheck.

Nice :D

I never had that happen to me :o

But killing him out of nowhere is better? I would’ve rather seen Sora having his happy end there and to be with Kairi than denying that to switch him out with a new character in the next game.
