Seriously, HZD is a masterclass in world building. The way it drip feeds information and never once let me down with the explanations. All Science fiction writers should take notes from how well it creates a compelling world so effectively.

So much of it is collective guilt and shame that, unconfronted, tells them that the loss of white supremacy means they will be treated the way white Americans have treated Black and Indiginous Americans.
