Honest question, how long has the motor in the E55 been around? Doesn’t the new GLS 63 AMG have this very same motor? Is this the motor and transmission combo to get if you are buying an used supersled? I’m curious.
I think the Crosstour is the worst offender but I thought the futuristic styling and how the back hatch sloped without any kinks in it was kind of cool. The X6 and GLE don’t look as “purposeful” as this, to my eye.

I wasn’t saying it’s bad. I was looking for them to differentiate themselves EVEN more. I’ve read that the Torque converter in the DirectShift transmission is very good, so I don’t think it’s a loss. Just commenting that it would be an interesting way to bring in MORE customers.
