I've always loved this episode for the following reasons, in no particular order:

I'm really struggling to think of anything Finn said or did that was specifically worthy of scorn.  I like him.  As far as being entitled and overeducated, he comes off better than any other such character in the series, including Melfi.

Meadow was annoying throughout the series, but I think she really turned the corner this season.  She was an annoying high school student and an annoying college student, but annoying in ways that are familiar to me.  With this season and perhaps this very episode, however, I went from "eh, she's annoying in a

Very true.

"Meadow, who was once telling her little brother to open his eyes as to where their father’s money really came from, continues to make excuses, continues to take part in the cover-up. "

"The two Tonys were out looking for Tony B.’s long-missing daughter, Kelli, just another thing Tony B. lost because of his cousin"
What's Tony S.'s role in Tony B's relationship with his daughter?  Sometimes I think you blame Tony's toxic aura for events that these mob guys would have had coming whether or not Tony

Was wondering that the whole time, but the very end of the episode sealed it.

"We can decorate the whole house with mums!"

If anything, Finn's kind of a blank slate and stand-in for the average viewer.  Also, when has Meadow ever had better?  Malcolm Jamal Ginsberg and Jackie Jr. were both completely insufferable.  Jamie Siegler's a sexy girl and there's some vicarious thrill to dating the daughter of the Boss, but I definitely wonder why

Fair enough.  My intent with respect to that comment is that she wouldn't buy any horseshit excuse because she knows for a fact what these guys do.  She's been around guys like this her whole life, so it's harder to feign ignorance about how destructive/criminal they are.

I always felt for Finn.  How did Meadow go from talking/joking/criticizing Tony's life in seasons 1-2 to being in total denial and ******SPOILER******* basing her career choice on that denial in later seasons.  Finn didn't need that crap in his life.

The black doctor character at the hospital was indeed annoying, but his presence was worth it if only for his interaction with Tony B.  Though The Sopranos has many examples, I think lots of the "great" shows have similar examples.  When these shows go to such time, expense, and depth to explore and develop the

"Adriana, obviously, does some bad things. She snorts coke, she drinks alcohol around Christopher, and she contemplates cheating on her fiancé with his boss in this episode. But she’s also about the one person in this universe who can be called mostly innocent. "

I enjoy and look forward to every one of these write-ups, but half the content of this one rubs me the wrong way.  I'll split up my thoughts for the TL;DR crowd.

Off the top of my head, the prank that bothered me was the one where Jim covered Dwight's desk/chair/accessories in wrapping paper.  Dwight sits down on top of the wrapping paper, and falls because it turns out that it was all wrapping paper with nothing inside it.

Along the same lines as my reply to Myles above, I'm ready to accept anything at this point.  The show has been mediocre for years and is probably going to end soon,  but I still respect and trust in the creators/writers of the show.  If they just throw a bunch of crazy shit against the wall and see what sticks, half

I long ago gave up any hope or expectation that the show would return to the more realistic (by comparison) days of season 2.  With that expectation out the window, I support the show doing anything it can to elicit a laugh.  This is probably one of the last seasons, if not the last season, and the quality has been

Completely true on all counts, but I would suggest that makes him more sympathetic.  He wants to have the mob perks, but he's unable and/or unwilling to go all the way with it.  Accordingly, he kind of hangs around the periphery trying to soak up the good times vicariously while avoiding the worst aspects.  He wants

I don't care, fuck her.  When we get to the episode with the awful freeze frame and scene transition, I'll find a way to blame that on her as well.
