I’m in a special position, I usually get bored when I play a gta game, I never enjoyed playing gta3, 4 or 5, I tried them all, 5 was better, I played nearly ten hours, but I lost my save when doing something stupid, and I never restarted it.

I’m not sure power is an issue, if it is, we’re all gonna end up on pc, because, ps4 (pro or not) and xbox one can’t compete on that matter (my gtx 970 is 2 years old and outperforms a ps4 on any multi platform game, by far.).

My kids are 7 and 3, my 7 years old daughter is playing video games, my 3 years is still too young imo. But anyway, they both learnt to respect the console itself (only dad swaps disks or cartridge), and I’m lucky enough that they obey ^^’

At first, I had 40~70 fps on 1080p with horrible settings on my gtx 970, now I have 80~110 fps with much higher settings. The game still feels a little weird on the technical side, but it’s not a hurdle anymore (and I’m very hard to please on that matter)
