I never get out the greys so I don’t care if my opinion is just being shouted into the void, but I think that cheetos sandwich sounds and looks vile. Maybe I’m biased, but a crisp sandwich is a thing in the UK and other people like it but I have had one and I hated it. We also do chip buttys (google it, it’s fat fries

Yeah that sounds yummy. You can crush cheetos and use it to coat a bit of chicken to decent results. But that might not be as novelty or marketable as a bunch of chicken put on top of some orance cheetos

As a Scot, I’m qualified to say that the best shortbread is the kind made in our kitchens. But Paterson’s is a decent substitute, alongside Dean’s shortbread.

Absolutely. As someone who was diagnosed with autism as a young child, I can safely say that it is better to be socially awkward than dead due to easily preventable diseases

I love all soups, but I can’t go against the wonder that is chicken soup.

Yeah, no thanks

No Crunchy Nut Cornflakes? You’re all fools.

Now playing

You’re right, you won’t get shot. Just punched instead

Waste of a perfectly decent, albeit expensive milkshake IMO. Should’ve just bought the cheap stuff out of Asda and decanted it into a plastic cup

Letter writer should be grateful they weren’t told to fuck off out the restaurant when they asked about the late entree. Free dessert seems reasonable to me

I love using breast whenever I’m making a chicken and mushroom pie. Meat pies are the superior pies.

Hell yeah, Singapore noodles. 80% of the time it’s what I order from the takeaway whenever I have one. I know what I making for dinner tonight, hopefully this will be more successful than my last attempts at making these noodles.

Octopus is delicious, but I prefer eating dead ones thanks

That’s a story that totally happened and isn’t a load of bullshit

Before I went to University I worked as a professional chef, so when I went to uni I would buy a whole chicken at the start of the week, joint it (as in cut up the legs, thighs, breasts etc) then use the leftover carcass for stock with veg.

In my experience in the UK, if you go to the cinema during the day on a weekday, they won’t give a damn what you bring in as long as it’s in a bag. The workers don’t care enough to search people for it

I came in here ready to defend Cadbury’s Fruit and Nut, but that’s different to what you’re talking about here. I agree though, fruit dipped in chocolate is overrated.

Yeah, an article on regional UK food could be fun, especially if readers can contribute. There’s so many variations of so many dishes, it could be fun to argue over the correct way to make a cullen skink for example

Hey non-UK folk, it’s not all deep fried food most of the time in Scotland, I swear. Our seafood is

Scotch eggs being called classy is a new one to me. Here in the UK they’re also seen as picnic food.
