I was moderating a Prodigy chat room event during the PPV in question. The article is correct that it was an hour later that Owen’s death was announced. The live crowd was not told. But there were people interviewed by the media as they left the arena that had a suspicion that something was very wrong. In the chat

If the Huffpost article is true, why hasn’t the mainstream media picked this up?  $102 million for golf outings has to be what Washington calls “pork spending” in the worst way.  I sure as Hell don’t want my tax dollars spent for the Orangutan to enrich his own golf courses.

I saw the entire HSFC video. It was a massive embarrassment. I sat there wondering at what point do those asking the questions just say that Carson is incompetent and be removed from the office. I guess only the Orangutan can remove the guy. Congressional committees don’t seem willing, or able, to do so.

why it is that EA is so obsessed with only developing AAA blockbuster Star Wars games, when surely there’s a world of fun/money to be had also working on (or at least just publishing) smaller projects like remasters and shorter/simpler/cheaper games.

I’m not a fan of O’Rourke.  I have yet to hear any of his plans if he is voted in.  All I have heard about him consistently is that he’s a millionaire.  That is not enough.

Why is buying a bunch of games that are on discount considered a “fraud?”

What is a “gane” journalist?

Mel Gibson? I don’t understand this reference.

Oh, yes.  I remember that worthless guide.  I wrote an email to authors telling how stupid it was to write a book that suggested you go to a website to get the information you wanted.  I seriously regretted buying that guide.

My question is if the woman was so concerned about herself, why did she resist? The articles says the officer suspected the woman had outstanding warrants. Not that she HAD warrants. Just that he suspected she had warrants. If the woman had stopped and complied, there would be no need to use a taser and no need to use

Don’t people just write things on the back of their hand any more?

Of course. But were an election to be held tomorrow, that Orangutan would still be re-elected.

I was a really big pro wrestling fan back in the day. I really was. When I got a job at a local cable company, one of the employee perks was a discount on PPV and OnDemand movies and events. It was perfect. But over time, the WWE product really started to wain. Around the time Ric Flair retired in 2008, the writing

Uh...what?

Another reason to not have children: the schools don’t want to feed them any more.

I don’t know who this Hawley guy is. I didn’t vote for him (I’m in Missouri.)

Looks good.  But the real sticking point will be “How does it play?”  A gorgeous wreck will not work.

I don’t understand.  How are the food business corps responsible for crime on farm workers?

No matter what Devos says, we cannot get rid of her.  Her position is an appointed one, not an elected one.  But her boss won’t be removing her.

While the FCC has no direct control over cable TV channels and their content, the argument is being made that cable channels that transmit via satellite are using the public spectrum and may be under FCC control. It remains to be seen though. But you’re correct that the FCC has no regulatory control over what HBO
