“Losing Overwatch games has always been an art. Now, it’s a science.” I hope that was meant to be sarcastic. Playing a game with the purpose of de-ranking is against the rules of the game and a ban worthy offense.

What started the fire??
Dungeons & Dragons certainly did open up my imagination. Until fourth grade, all I had was Star Trek and Star Wars. Then my dad brought in a boxed copy of D&D thinking I might like it. I did. I read and read it. Expert edition, Advanced, version two, three, expansions to Ravenloft, Forgotten Realms, whooooo…
Frankly, I don’t think “video game” addiction” is any different than any other form of addiction. Humans seem to have the capability to become addicted to just about anything. Work, play, drink, food, you name it. Humans can become addicted to it. I have played video games since I saw an arcade game in the outdoor…
The police should have written the man a ticket for abusing 911 in this manner. The fine should be $1000.00.
That guy was tased and still managed to get up and run? Perhaps he needs after rehabilitation, he can join the force. As for the girl falling through the ceiling, worst Bruce Willis impression ever.
At the very LEAST, the employee needs a write up. This was very bad judgement on the employee’s part.
I’m of two minds on this. First, it is rather rude to heckle people in public regardless of their status. Famous actors and actresses endure this all the time. So do sports players. Some may claim this is the price of fame. But in the same situation, many would not like it either. Second, people in public office…
I’ve seen this sort of thing happen once. While working at my last job, an elderly lady came in to the lobby and asked to use the restroom. The company I worked for did not have public bathroooms. The lady left angry and later, her husband came in to berate the staff until a supervisor went to confront him. She reitera…
The person who called the police should be given a ticket for abusing 911. The fine should be $1000.00. If this fine was issued every time someone did this sort of thing, the frivolous calls would stop.
The caller hasn’t been arrested yet?
I guess the question is why these places don’t just ASK the developers for permission. I can’t imagine any developer saying “No.” This is an excellent opportunity for free advertising. They could even debut new games at these bars!! It seems like this could be easily handled.
Actually, business are charged an extra fee if they publicly show PPV events by their cable TV provider in the U.S. It’s added on to the total price of the event. So, a $39.99 event for a home owner would be a $59.99 event for the business.
Fascinating.
I’m not sure that Taser was necessary. The male cop should have just leaned down and slapped the cuffs on the guy. The female officer in the background could have kept her Taser at the ready just in case. I didn’t get the impression that the guy under arrest was going to flee. But I’m not a police officer. Maybe these…
I remember watching a BBC program not long ago talking about this kind of wind farm. After watching, I wondered “Why not?” There seems to be great potential here. Not only that, but the project would pay for itself rather quickly. I’d be curious to know what reasons the fishing industry has for objecting to this. …
I hope the author is not saying setting a limo on fire is a wise idea.
I’m rather curious to know how the sales person reacted to that.
I used to work for a cable TV company. I am well aware of tactics like this. In fact, I got out of the customer service side when this sort of trend started in our office. It was not long afterwards that supervisors started writing up and firing people for not making sales. Direct TV calls me every now and then…
I would suggest that Moore do his inspections with a second fire fighter in uniform. It won’t stop racist jerks from being racists jerks. But it would help him to have some back up when this happens. And he had his ID. So, he was covered. This is a real dilemma. On the one hand, if I saw someone rooting around…
