My wife and I have two cars and a two-car garage, which is small enough that our two cars barely fit. When we purchase another car, it can be no larger than the car it replaces, which will probably be my 2011 Accord sedan.

Maybe I am an optimist in my old age. Sometimes I think that if we finally got the midengine Corvette, anything is possible.
This is not a production car, but this Mclaren CANAM racer (1969 M8B, IIRC) is a good example of the inspiration for some of the most exaggerated spoilers still seen occasionally on street cars today. Unfortunately, putting a big spoiler on your Civic sedan won’t make anyone think that it has any relation to this OG…
My wife had a sedan version of this car with an automatic transmission. It stayed in the family and provided reliable service for over 15 years. It was not much fun to drive and I could not get comfortable in it, but it got 37 mpg on the highway. It was a good daily driver, even if it was not much fun.
I agree that a recharge time under 10 minutes would make BEV’s more attractive.
Does it accelerate quickly enough to handle highway merges, passing, etc., in the real world of urban/suburban traffic?
Small gas tanks. My wife and I just returned from a 2300 mile trip. Our 2011 Accord has a reasonable sized tank, 18.2 gallons. It was nice not having to worry about refueling as often.
I have been waiting for this for a long time and, as an old-timer, am looking forward to a new VW bus. However, I am unlikely to buy one, so my opinion does not mean much.

I have been in a minority in the US. I have been following F1, on and off, since 1961 when Phil Hill won the championship. It was relatively rare to find any acquaintance of mine who followed the sport. I looked forward to seeing Drive to Survive, but I have not found it to be very compelling watching. To me, it seems…
IMHO, this headline is right on point. The situation is more complicated than that, but this is part of it.

It is a red convertible that runs and appears to be in good condition. I don’t think it deserves as much hate as it is getting here. On the other hand, I am driving through that town in a little more than 12 hours from now and am not tempted to stop by and see it.
How about peach soup? It is peach season here, so it is on my mind.
Several good points have been made in comments, so far. This is not yet anything like 2008, however, increasing delinquencies is not an encouraging sign. We will see how things work out.
The best car I ever drove was a 1964 Pontiac GTO coupe, in 1964. I only got to drive it three blocks but it was obvious that it was an absurd motor vehicle and quite dangerous. I was an 18-year-old college student and exceptionally stupid for my age, so it was a perfect match.
It is a red convertible, everything else is secondary.
