IMHO, EVs are not ready for prime time until they can be competitive with ICE vehicles without various levels of government subsidizing their sale. The most painful part of saying this is that it means I agree, at least a little bit, with Senator Manchin.

Like most cars on which one had the choice, the convertible version of this car appeals to me most.

My family was Ford-friendly for over nine decades after 1913 when my paternal grandfather, then a Ford dealer, met my grandmother while trying to sell her boss a new Model T. On my mother’s side, there were lots of Fords owned by her sister’s family, who lived in a small town with only a Ford dealer.

In the early 1980s, I worked with a man who called his 1977 Toyota Corolla “The Justly Famed Japanese Racing Machine.” This inspired me to call my 1971 Toyota Corona “The Urban Battle Cruiser.”

Any product with a sidecar rig in the graphics can’t be all bad, even if the sidecar is on the wrong side for those of us who drive on the right side of the road.
