In 1962-1963, my best friend and I and our fathers went to an auto show in Washington, D.C. We had a great time, but the thing that I remember best was a bugeye Sprite with a Mercury flathead V8 transplant. To make it even more memorable, it was painted International Harvester red.
Those of with narrow garages or parking spaces might be more interested in which cars are too wide.

I was in Paris last week for the first time in a long time and also found the Metro to be very good. When I was first in Paris (1959), some of the folks who worked in the Metro stations were fairly rude to tourists, this time, the two Metro workers I dealt with were very professional and polite.

Several decades ago, after McDonald’s introduced the Egg McMuffin, a car magazine columnist (Jean Shepherd?) wrote a column praising its contribution to road trips. IIRC, he stated that its familiarity and consistency meant that the traveler had one less uncertainty to contend with.
