I am currently listening to the eaudiobook of “Robot, Take the Wheel” by Jalopnik’s own Jason Torchinsky, which I recommend for any one with an interest in this topic.

My Mom taught me to love “zippy little cars.” She also taught me how to parallel park by taking me out to practice when it was raining and the neighborhood children were inside and relatively free from danger.

Am I reading the comments correctly? To make the batteries last in a BEV or PHEV, one should keep the batteries charged to between 20% and 80% of their capacity.
