“Is signing Vettel a mistake?”

Thank you!

If Torchinsky thinks that this is a crazy idea, it must be way out there. :)

If these laws stay in effect for 10 years, we night be able to see how well they work.

I spent a not-insignificant amount of time this weekend fantasizing about when it’ll be finally time to replace the spark plugs on the Fit. Ordinary car maintenance gets me extremely excited every time.”

IIRC, that period also included drivers like Webber, Massa, and Barichello who, even though never champions, had significant F1 credentials themselves.

If my quick research is correct, this means that now eight of the drivers who raced today have won at least one race.

This sounds interesting. How about two 125 mile races in one day?

“(One of these cars I haven’t yet revealed, because I’m ashamed.)“

IIRC, these cars had a three-cylinder two-stroke engine. Perhaps the exhaust fumes accounted for the “trip” Saab drivers took.

“I do not care if there’s a convertible version...”

Drive-ins are great for children. Like lots of things, it is probably not as great now, as they should probably give the playground and the concession stand a miss.

On first impression, this seems like less of a gimmick than NASCAR’s stages, etc.

In 1995, my ex-wife and I bought a new Toyota Avalon with the bench seat option. In addition to the advantages mentioned here, the center part of the front seat back folded down to form an armrest, which worked well to hold her coffee cup on her commute.

Unfortunately, probably not convertibles.

IIRC, somewhat similar vehicles were sold into the 1970's that could be driven either seated or standing. The International Harvester Metro is the one I remember.

My ex-wife and I bought a 1991 Camry new (four cylinder, manual). We passed it down to one of our sons in 1995 and he drove it on the mean streets of L.A. until someone stole it in 2005. It was reliable and more fun to drive than most folks assumed.

As a ROF (Retired Old Fart) with a limited number of friends to bother, I have started to feel bored and may soon be driven to finish cleaning out the garage, closets, drawers, etc. Fortunately, I am able to safely go on a daily 3-mile walk, so I can keep cabin fever at bay.
