1) It’s fucking bullshit that you’re grey now. It’s making me re-think my love for Burneko.

Here it is again in slow-motion and zoomed in a lot more.
God I love reading about Eve. It’s got the best story of any MMO, ever, because everything about the game is real and impactful. What a masterpiece.... That I will never play.
My guess, CCP wanted to know if triggering an alien invasion would result in human players letting go of their petty rivalries, and banding together to fight the common alien foe.
This. I love reading about EVE and it sounds super-interesting, but it also sounds like a huge investment of time, which I simply don’t have. I eagerly await the day I retire so I can finally pick it up.
This sounds cool as hell. I’d probably be pissed if my faction was just starting a massive battle against another, but conceptually this sounds like exactly what I’d want in a game about space. Having random alien NPC ships waging war on you out of nowhere (after years of not doing it) is a hell of a twist.
This game is really interesting to watch from afar but I can’t even remotely seeing myself having the time or energy to keep up with everything required to understand and actively participate in. Perhaps pre-parenthood I would have gone at it with gusto.
This version of Spider-man has a single parent who is in her mid 50s and still working. So makes sense that they are less cash strapped(plus you can presume it’s a school trip so those are usually much cheaper then just a normal European vacation).
I don’t think that slippery slope holds. The legal theory they’re using here is basically the same as anyone comitting a crime with an innocent nearby, the felony murder rule. The controversy is twofold— first, assault is a misdemeanor why are they applying the *felony* murder rule, second, The victim in question was…
If it was a legitimate shooting, the body has ways of shutting that whole thing down
I realize I’m spamming here, but this is how it starts. A poor woman of colour outside a dollar store. Some day they will come for the lower middle class single white woman who miscarried because she couldn’t afford to work only one job while hella pregnant.
But technically, he is doing this to get jobs back into the US. Or at the least, out of China, so that it came no longer be an unethical superpower in the world.
It doesn’t even matter because he’s already put tariffs on so much stuff that a lot of the raw materials and components coming out of China will cost the downstream manufacturers just as much in tariffs... Meaning no matter where the actual product manufacturing goes, they’re paying for Trump’s Chinese tariffs...PLUS…
hurting China is not a win. The goal was supposed to be getting more jobs in the US by getting more things built in the US. moving this from China to another non US country does nothing to boost US based jobs.
I’d suggest they come and make them in Canada instead, far more stable Country.
Part of me is laughing at the “Gamer” subculture getting this stuck to them.
The part of me that plays games and understands Tariffs is also laughing at toxic “Gamers” subculture.
The cognitive dissonance should be delightful. #schadenfreude #leopardseatingfaces
Can’t wait for Trump and his supporters to respond that they should make the consoles in America if they don’t like the tariffs. 🙄
I fully expect a lot of impassioned speeches from people without the faintest clue of how manufacturing works.
If people don’t want to pay the tariff, they can buy one of the game consoles made right here in America, dammit!
