Game system emulators aren’t illegal, as has been proven in court multiple times. Using copyrighted code (be it bios, firmware, or ROMs), on the other hand, is.

For the last time, there’s been multiple US court cases, and while companies would absolutely LOVE for emulation to be illegal so they could talk like you, it isn’t. Emulators are totally legal. Pirating ROMs isn't and that's definitely spurred on by emulation, but emulators are totally legal.

The last time the House pursued impeachment, the Vice President would have won the next presidential election were it not for the Republican nominee’s brother running the Florida election and his family friend on SCOTUS deciding that he won after the brother fucked it all up.

I wish all the lore stuff was in the actual game. Yes its cool hearing the characters say a line or 2 while your waiting for the match to start but put more in the game.

I will never understand the childish anger of internet gamer bros. I get the social/cultural/political roots of it, I just can’t imagine being so angry over something so miniscule. I like to believe it’s just teenagers who don’t know any better, but it’s so often overemotional adult men. It blows my mind every time…

What are the tangible negatives? Other than having to install a second service...so minor.

Game developers getting 18% more of your money is a huge benefit to the customer: The game developer can invest more in the games you love, and has less incentive to depend on trashy DLC models.
