@Gaucho85: I was unlucky, also, I guess. I had to send it in for repair three times, and when it came back in even worse condition than before, and with an EXTREMELY loud fan, I just said "Screw it. The PS3 slim just came out and I'm getting one."
@Foxstar is in love with Kotaku's two Brians.: Because there's really no reason to have a DSi over the DS Lite, or to choose a DSi over a DS Lite. They could've just made it lighter and with an even longer battery life. But just having something doesn't make it good. That something has to be made well, and with…
@PlatformJunkie: With Comcast, I do sometimes have to reset the modem, but at least I'm not deprived of my internet for 6 hours at a time. It's at most a total of 5 minutes every month. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with it.
@dwardu: I know what it is. You're not alone. I participate in the act of manual sniffing, also. The reason I like online manuals is because if a page of my physical manual gets bent, I get pissed.
@PlatformJunkie: What about AT&T users? I used to have that, and it would crap out on me even when it was completely clear skies. No clouds, even. They might as well just not count AT&T as a valid service provider when going across consistency, or speed for that matter. Just skip it completely. Act like it doesn't…
@Todge: In Windows 7, it's completely optional. You can use Firefox completely instead of Internet Explorer. In Vista, however, I remember wanting to open something in Firefox but it instead opening up in IE, which was a bit annoying.
Nintendo might as well just discontinue the DSi. It's filled with completely useless, half-assed features that have nothing to do with gaming, a clunky menu(couldn't they do a Wii channels look?), and no GBA slot. And, to top it all off, it's boring to look at. That, to me, is a failure, and I'm glad my sister got one…
@Todge: Are you saying just the fact that it's made by MS?
@dwardu: That's what PSPgo is doing. Except without the box and manual. It's an online manual instead, which I like. See here: [playstationlifestyle.net]
What's so horrible about IE8, guys?
@ThreeOneFive: It can. I have L4D1&2, Counter-Strike Source, ARMA II, The Orange Box, all Crysis games, World in Conflict, all of the Fallout games, Oblivion, Morrowind, GTA IV(but I'm not reinstalling it), and STALKER Clear Sky all running on maxed settings. But I'd still like to play L4D2 on my PS3 with my other…
Well of course VALVe is lazy! *walks off while murmuring about PS3*
@adinnieken: What would be the use of building a technology into every TV and monitor if it's only going to be used on one thing? Building it into the one thing that uses it makes much more sense. But really, I wouldn't care if they just got rid of Natal and all motion sensing completely by the time the next…
@Variatas: It's definitely a huge blow to Sony, and Sony's probably going to drop the Cell, too. But they can't stop making them until the PS4 comes out. They're probably going to move to the standard after that, which will make the PS4 much easier to develop for, which will make the developers stop complaining about…
@Techno-Atom: " I'm talking about games. As in a new franchise." is completely misleading, right?
@Paul_Is_Drunk: True, but the PS3 is gaining in popularity with the new Slim model. Will they be able to catch up to the Xbox 360 in time, though? It doesn't seem likely, unless PS3 gets more advertisements. The reason the Xbox 360 is more popular is because it's seen more. If the PS3 could push itself out into the…
@ggp9690: How much better could they get than Gears of War 2 and Uncharted 2? I know they could put more polygons and textures where they don't really matter, but what's the point in that? Are there people that actually examine each texture and each object/character to try to find a single flaw in a game?
@Techno-Atom: Apparently, you don't know how to read. I stated that they need to release a new gaming franchise, not a new gaming console. Something that competes with LittleBigPlanet or inFAMOUS.
@Scott J: I've got one for you! [xbox360media.ign.com]
