Something about Joe wanting to hug Danny reminded me of the awkwardness I felt when Danny's mom wanted to hug Ellie's son. I really want to know if they writers intended for there to be an odd parallel between the two scenes.

Did anyone else notice the sight gag in the background of the making fun of Canada montage? It was brilliant and at least deserved an honorable mention of the stray observations section. It reminded me of some of the background jokes in Community.
