There are no atheists in foxholes or damage aircraft.

These APS systems are primarily meant to defend against anti-tank missiles. But in a tank on tank battle, long rod penetrators are the weapon of choice. Ball bearings are going to do shit against those.

I can see where this would help. One downside that wasn’t mentioned is the aerodynamic loss from increased cooling needs. Today, many vehicles are using active shutters to close off parts of the grill to reduce aero losses when not needed. This would really up cooling needs.

While that is a real problem, I think the larger one right now is the propensity for the police to pull their gun and treat EVERY situation like their lives are in danger. Decades ago, a police officer might go through their entire career without ever pulling their gun in a confrontation. That’s no longer the case.

I’m in the south and gas is pretty cheap here. I pulled into a gas station the other day that had regular for $1.87. Their premium was $2.66. 79 cents more! I left since I need to run premium in my bike. My local station had a 30 cent differential just a couple of years ago and it’s now 45 cents. Octane hasn’t

So why not resurrect the Buell brand that was so quickly shut down at the start of the financial crisis? They at least used Harley based engine designs in some of their motorcycles. They had sport bikes, adventure touring bikes and even a starter bike.

So when you said “Level 2 chargers are acceptable in my book” that’s no longer true?

Buzz? That’s not the correct term. Intercepted at a same distance is the proper description. Buzzing is what several Russian aircraft have done recently, flying past within 5 ft of one of our aircraft. THAT’s the distinction we need to be getting out to the public.

The 238 mile rating is from the EPA cycle. It’s a combination of city and highway driving, the same cycle used to generate fuel economy sticker ratings. It’s quite easy to achieve that range in the real world.

The Bolt and its 238 mile range would dramatically open up the area you can effectively use the vehicle. Even though the DC fast charger network needs a lot of work, you’d be surprised how many level 2 chargers are out there. Now they do take a lot longer to charge, but you would be able to take MUCH longer trips if

This would be a VERY smart move for other manufacturers, especially the European luxury automakers. Tesla’s is the only supercharging network that was laid out for long range travel. The competing CCS and CHAdeMO standards are primarily on the coasts and there are large gaps that would make cross country travel

They do have their own unique plug. But, it’s simple to develop an adapter for the other two standards widely in use, CHAdeMO and CCS.

Buick had world class build quality when those cars were produced, consistently ranking as one of the best US auto plants. And their all cast iron(it never had aluminum heads) 3.8 V-6 was bullet proof.

Beyond a pre-programmed flight profile, I don’t believe we have technology that would be useful that would even allow such missiles to maneuver based on defenses.

There is the rather minor detail that despite all the hair pulling, this guy wasn’t convicted of ANYTHING. So on what basis do you propose that we take away his rights? Do you really want to base losing your rights based on unproven accusations?

Maybe he’ll trade with you.

You give the guy your money and you’re screwed.

The real difference for the Model X is the low center of gravity due to the battery location under the floor. Other SUVs from Volvo and BMW also scored 5 stars in all the categories except for rollover where they scored 4 stars.

$40 Million for a 20 year old Dassault 900? I don’t think so, at least if the comments about her wealth being well managed are true.

Bacon. Everything tastes better with bacon.
