I think the conformal fuel tanks are a great idea but I think they’re going to be hard to pull off. Does Israel really have the expertise to design them? To be truly effective, they’ll need to be stealthy. If not, then what’s the point of having the F-35. The F-15s already have the range, just not the stealth.

I’m ok with the front end. They need to work on the back of the car. It’s too egg like for my tastes and the trunk opening sucks.

It was only part of an on-going conversation.

Only if you leave out the fact that their average transaction price is near $100k.

Of course HD has had an adventure bike before, the Buell XB12X Ulysses.

Sounds like a problem with that particular vehicle. Ford has tested the Mustangs on tracks and I doubt there’s anything wrong with the basic design. There’s always the option of upgrading the cooling as well if that’s needed in the Aussie climate.

Your timeline is wrong. The French dropped out of the project long before the Typhoon was even designed. The key sticking point was their INSISTENCE that they should have design lead on the project. The French got the design lead they wanted by simply going it alone and shouldering all the costs themselves. I doubt

You still have to be able to work on the planes as well. I think the French knew they’d have more space than planes they could afford to buy. We’ve run into the same situation. Our carriers are just as big or bigger than in the past yet we’re routinely operating them with 15-25 less aircraft than in the past. That’s

The Typhoon that went into service is the one that met the design parameters of the partners which were part of the program. France had long since decided to go it alone. There’s no reason what so ever that the Typhoon can’t be used for any role that would be needed, nuclear or otherwise. It’s just a matter of

No, France just expected to be able to take prime responsibility for the design. The Eurofighter partners were perfectly willing to design an aircraft that was suited to all roles needed. But of course once France dropped out of the project, there was no need to include French design parameters.

Exactly. What a waste for the Europeans. Think about how much cheaper and more successful the Typhoon program would have been if the French had bought it as well. They probably would have won a lot more export orders if they hadn’t split their efforts. Again, it’s simply a French problem. I doubt they’ve got the money

I don’t think any other navy has the operational tempo that is common in the US Navy. I bet these aircraft have a fraction of the hours and landings per year that a Hornet does.

Folding wings would definitely allow more planes to be carried but they add weight and complexity to the design.

They should have chosen the much more capable navalized Jaguar that was developed and tested. As always, French pride drove the choice to stay with an all French design as opposed to the Anglo/French Jaguar.

Life on the Korean peninsula would be so much better is Seoul wasn’t within artillery range of North Korea. The fact that South Korea’s capital and a significant portion of their entire population is so close to enemy lines and under such massive threat is one of the reasons this conflict is such a powder keg. There’s

I believe the Brits have already adapted their Apaches to serve off their aircraft carriers.

My local Jeep dealer has an AEV hemi pickup conversion for, wait for it, $123,428. No joke. $30,900 for the 6.4 Hemi and another $41,589 for the pickup conversion on top of the $44,650 base price from Jeep. There’s also a few grand for some other AEV upgrades. Totally ridiculous.

Go fuck yourself. Rules of engagement are not fixed. We’ve been fighting this group for TEN years asshole.

In a war? Yes

What a bunch of bullshit. I don’t give a shit what color they are. I do care if they’re terrorists. Those come in all kinds of colors.
