I always thought the S-3 would make a great AWACS aircraft. I remember seeing a proposal that used a triangular fixed radome. If it really has 10 hr endurance, isn’t that double that of the E-2s?

There’s different levels of success. Lots of programs have 4 and 5 star talent, just look at Clemson’s QB. But talent alone will get a good record, not a championship.

Lol. Hardly. But even so, it’s the next four victories and the National Championship that are so hard to come by and in case you didn’t notice, that’s exactly what the 14-1 Tide did.

How can you say that? He was actually in charge of recruiting as an assistant at USC. He had to deal with scholarship restrictions when he was the Head Coach there.

Rolled? They lost by 7 in the playoffs. And that 3rd string QB is the same guy who destroyed the Badgers 59-0 in the Big Ten championship.

Really? ANYONE would have called the plays Kiffin called? It’s not just about talent, believe me, as a GA fan I know that.

I do think his success at Bama is resulting in some review of what people previously thought about his tenure at TN and USC. But there’s no doubt that he had behaviors at both schools that didn’t help his cause. Given how early he had such great success, it’s not surprising that he wasn’t always a good person about

I think it’s more than not fucking up. He’s brought another level to the Bama offense and Saban saw that in him. I just read recently that Saban had tried to hire Kiffin as an assistant coach earlier in his career. The coaching community is still pretty small so Saban jumped after Kiffin was fired as Head Coach at

“You almost got the sense that if the game had gone on for just a little bit longer, Watson’s individual brilliance would have eventually overcome whatever dark magic Nick Saban was conjuring on the sideline.”

I’m no Kiffin fan, but it’s hard to argue with the success he’s had the last 2 years at Bama. If he keeps it up he’ll be offered another head coaching position. If he’s smart, he’ll start at a smaller school first.

Being invited to play at halftime is a privilege not a right. I’ve seen other reporting that this kind of stunt is quite common with the Stanford Band. So, simply don’t allow them on the field. The Pac-10 can even prevent their playing at home games.

“Well now we have some solid figures, with the Bolt going on sale for $37,500 before federal tax credits.”

So at what point do South Korea and Japan just say, we’ve been patient and you won’t change therefore we’re building our own nuclear weapons and we’ll have our own independent deterrent. This is the point we should be pushing on China who’s really the only country with influence with North Korea. We’ve got 3 allies,

Harley offers a full spectrum of bikes. What high tech? Check out the V-Rod. And many of the supposedly low tech Harley models have decidedly high tech features like ABS, navigation, cruise, fuel injection, etc. But sport bike tech doesn’t fit what Harley is even trying to do. It’s like complaining about SUVs and

True, and they’re typically a lot more comfortable.

I think it’s time for the US to start producing SCUD type(as in cheap) missiles in volume. A fixed base of relatively small size such as this could be put out of action with a swarm missile attack.

I was in the Civil Air Patrol when I was a kid. One of our officers related a story about being careful around helicopters in general. He was at a place where they flew Santa in and Santa raised his hand to wave to everyone as he was leaving the helicopter. Santa lost his hand.

I get your point. I’d suggest a better analogy would be supercar versus convertible. A supercar guy would complain about how wallowy a Miata’s suspension was and how every time he pressed the accelerator nothing really happened. Lol. The Miata guy would probably complain about how difficult it was to get into a Lambo

No one has been able to meet US emission standards without a urea injection system. It seems like a fool’s errand to bring 2009+ model year cars in and try to retrofit such a solution. The 325k vehicles that don’t have that system should just be bought back. I’m sure VW still doesn’t want to accept that reality.

I’m a Harley rider and I can tell you that I look for the fun roads too. But I’m probably riding them quite a bit slower than most/many sport bike riders. I’ve had sportbikes pass me in the middle of turns and scare the shit out of me on mountain roads. Those guys and the loud pipe guys give us all a bad rep with the
