YES! Baroque Cycle was fantastic, and inspired me to read up on the nonfiction.

You should.  If you find Zooey "adorkable", you'll love it; if you find her kind of irritating and hard to deal with, so do the other characters on the show, so it's really win-win.

She was great.  It was shitty that the editors lumped her into the "talentless weirdo reject" montage. The beatboxing was gimmicky, but she was good at it and clearly very musical.  Even the little singing I heard was decent.  Maybe she was a no, but she didn't deserve to be in that loser sequence.

That kid referring to Hallelujah as "that song from Shrek" made me feel old and angry.

I went to the McDonald's over in Shelbyville the other day.  Yeah, I never heard of it either but they say they have over 2,000 locations in this state alone.

This was the funniest line all season on any TV show.  And I'm including "That's not how I recall 'Rashomon'" from Bored to Death.

The whole point of the judges' save is to avoid and correct voter "errors" like this.  Maybe Marcus fans (LOL) mobilized after seeing their fave in the bottom.  Maybe Rachel voters were complacent this week.  Whatever the reason, it's built in to the structure of the show that the judges have a responsibility to wield…

It was pretty epic.  He's a little asshole.

I went and listened to the new song, and let it play through the live version of Slow Motion.  It's unsettling to hear the crowd singing along and cheering to that song.
