But often times they cannot be accomplished without Twitter/FB, because the people in charge of communications only use those channels. I use it for local events all the time, and they would be nearly impossible to track without FB, because most of their PR/comms/social media people do a great job of maintaining FB

I know plenty of libertarians, and your assessment does not strike me as being remotely accurate.

This is not the same. Most people would rightly assume that most other people view such materials - but most people WOULD NOT use their verified account as a US legislator to do so. Regardless, it was a mistake - and people are often called out for such, especially when they are “family values” “do sex how I say” kind

It is weird how a sizable portion of the US’s inability to grasp irony has caused so much harm in so little time.

Please explain.

I would imagine that they completely miss the profound irony of their own statements.

Pretty sure that was how they described PCP, because I explicitly remember a cartoon cover of one of their publications with some person looking into a mirror and seeing bugs covering their face with some outrageous title (mentioning PCP)

Weird - but at least tangentially related question - can you just cancel a sale on ebay? I thought the ToS stipulates a basic contract when you list something.

I kind of doubt that hypothesis. Racist people LOVE self-loathing black people who do a lot of their work for them, and Clarke seems to fit really well into this category.

Meh, even if they are of the same kind - I think it would be really hard to argue that they are even close to the same degree of awfulness. Trump really is special in this regard, while Kelly is probably more like the assholes we have grown accustomed to.

Well I mean it makes sense when they have real off-field issues (e.g., breaking the law, being violent etc.), but yeah when it is someone who seems to be an upstanding person who has an opinion, or god forbid a personality - it rings really hollow. Of course, I wont be watching the NFL anymore - and the sad part is

That last sentence of your reply proves you have a real problem with false equivalency.

Honestly I doubt that that is true. Mandating helmets for car drivers would probably lead to more accidents (and therefore more head injuries) - since you cant look around as easily as you could on bike and the helmet reduces peripheral visibility.

It is weird to see old-school, obtuse concern trolling though, so

We arent really sure what it looks like - but what we do know is that colleges and the NFL dont really care about the players - and certainly not enough to adequately address the safety issues.

Effectively pulling their “no-strings” NIH (i think it was NIH) grant is the perfect encapsulation of how they dgaf. I cant

I dont think that the players are into right-wing nuttery (majority anyway - save some notable top-tier QBs and some other standouts), but the coaching staff and ownership are definitely in the bag.

Here’s hoping that people see these types of churches for the cynical cash grabs that they are. Maybe people will realize that all of the mosques that opened without conditions arent here to impose sharia either, and are just working to be part of a community like most people.

Well, in fairness, if a potential serial killer were to be a clear and present danger to society (i.e., seeming not so nice) there is a good chance that they may actually get caught before they manage the “serial” part of that moniker.

But the man also defines him. He is a blithering, cowardly idiot to be certain, but without daddy he would be a rudderless blithering, cowardly idiot.
