Surprise! - people are often wrong about what they want/should want - including businesses. Many of them probably dont know the first thing about effectively reaching their customers and would defer to experts that would likely point them to video channels for their ad purposes.

you forgot rubbing mud.

I am actually kind of hoping that Al Franken considers a run. I feel like he could be really successful since he is kind of an “outsider” - seems quite progressive, but is also pragmatic in his approach.

As a fan of Bernie, his age gives me pause as well. Seems like there ought to be all sorts of progressives out there with social justice planks as part of their platform that arent septuagenarians.

Sadly, I didnt even know this show existed. Loved his appearances in other stuff and his stand up, I guess I just dont pay attention to network sitcoms.

Wat?! The IRS doesnt write law - it enforces them. There also isnt a law on the books that requires POTUS to release his tax returns, so there is nothing for the IRS to enforce. You should aim your ire at the federal legislative branch. This also has nothing to do with our shitty POTUS.

Pretty scary if you think that Floyd is an appropriate stand in for the whole of black people in the US.

Pretty sure all of his shows have done pretty terrible if it is any consolation.

Just out of curiosity - are you doing anything about it?

Probably in the US unfortunately?

This seems like a gross oversimplification. The GOP is the opposition party - and they hold the power. They oppose government oversight and government generally, and they hold a majority in both legislative houses. I am not really sure what more a progressive or D senator/congressperson can do at this point, because

I mean I dunno really... Conor may have known and done it to inflame Mayweather and get eyeballs on the fight? I would imagine either of them would do anything that would help promote the fight, especially if it means being an egomaniac.

Perhaps one of the dumbest ideas regarding monetary policy, even if not for its actual impossibility.

I wouldnt assume that that was shade. I would bet lots of people had been asking him about it.

He is an awesome person. Saw him do a talk in Atlanta for DragonCon. We should all endeavor to be a little more like him - sticking up for the little man when con artists come swooping in.

He may have affected (i.e. moved) the sensors - which are likely accelerometers - which would not have been going 0 mph even if they appeared stationary.

What state is that, Utah?

CO too.

Well Popoff was actually outed on national tv by the great James Randi on the Tonight Show. While those other people have done plenty of embarrassing stuff, their followers could easily handwave the impropriety. It was pretty hard in this specific case, and I am sure that Steve Martin’s Leap of Faith character helped

Doubtful... See: Peter Popoff. Even being outed as a lying charlatan only put a temporary damper on his ability to sucker poor people into giving him their hard earned wages.
