Even the 4 hp one only goes 25 mph compared to 17 mph for the 2.5 mph. I only went karting a few times as a kid and every time it was in karts that went over 30, I believe. 17 mph is damn slow; I can almost run that fast.

You can get a real racing kart used for around that. It'll be much more durable and way faster.
