68 Chevy c-10. My Dad got one for a few hundred bucks. Motor was strong, but there was rust everywhere. We were going to find a new bed, replace the rockers, etc etc but he died before we made enoug progress to merit me holding onto it (I was in my early 20s, living in an apartment and had no where to keep it, let

I think my sister had 2 shitty cars with no passenger nirros. Her 87 Tercel for sure, maybe even her 91 Escort, 9th grade was a long time ago for me

A friend of mine had one of these around then. It wasn’t all that fun to drive.

‘82 FLH Electra Glide in Concord Blue, early 70's Triumph T-120, and a Lightning LS-218

No. Im not clicking. I will not spend the next 2 hours in a Bring a Trailer rabbit hole, which is what happens whenever you guys post something on bring a trailer. I will not get caught in the siren’s song this time. Not happening...

I learned how to drive on an ‘82 LUV. It was still on the farm (though as an unregistered, wooden bedded, farm only vehicle) when we moved away 16 years later. The engine in that thing wouldn’t quit. It was slow as all get out, and low on power, but it never quit.

Rain X or GTFO

I had a go-kart for a few years growing up. Whe my Dad got it, it was basically a fram and it was up to me to get it into whatever working order I wanted it in. I learned how to braze with an Acetelyne torch on that Go Kart. Rebuilt the carb on the original motor that came with it.

I have a Honda HR215 that my Dad bought in 1993. Still starts on the first pull, use it every week. I spent more time with that mower in high school than girls

Oh yeah? My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out that LandCrusier in the parking lot at 31 Flavors last night

My Father in law has one of these. Got his for a similar price. Its a driver, and he’s not stingy about handing off the keys to let me have some fun when we visit either. This is a perfect car for some cheap fun on twisty country roads

Something Ive learned as Ive agead: Cheap is expensive. Whether in time or actual dollars, cheap will cost more over time

Navigator?

I think thin pillars are gone forever due to rollover standards and side curtain airbags

The most perfect part of that video is that the headlights didnt work.

People from Detroit dont even want this. Or, rather, people from north of 8 mile that say the’yre from Detroit

Alternately, tell companies that benefit from corporate welfare (i.e LOTS of them, whether in the form of tax abatement, “non profit” status, or government contracts) that they are not allowed to *require* a 4 year degree as a condition of employment or even a “preferred” qualification UNLESS they are willing to offer

Its weird that individuals arent allowed to “walk away” from their commitments to the Federal government by including Federal Student loans in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, even if “market factors change” and leave them unable to procure a job that will allow them to pay for food, housing and their student loan payments,

Its (kind of) back. Putting some new ones out, here and there, but mostly just re-releasing old ones in internet form:

I remember a friends mom had one of the first edition Caravans and instead of power opening vents, there were 2 knobs on the ceiling between the front seats that you had to turn to open the rear windows.
