it’s more of a testament to how bad and lacking dynamism the entire cast is that this guy even gets interviewed, let alone has stacked enough ‘fame points’ to leave without having a character outside of ‘pete davison on weekend update’

No amount of footage, clips or interviews can convince me this is an actual show and not some 30 Rock joke come to life.

I finally watched the Joker this week and ended up feeling like it’s a weird movie to generate so much praise and hatred. For context I afterwards watched King of Comedy, and it struck me that what Joker misses is some sort of psychological and/or moral clarity about the character we’re watching. Without that it’s

Please stop letting Alex Kurtzman write.

This. This is what this story is about.

Saitama was effectively replaced with Garou, who is basically the protagonist and anti-hero of the second season. Saitama really ever works as a punchline, since he’s a force of nature character type. Overstaying his welcome isn’t a good idea. You can look to Isekai anime with overpowered characters to see what I’m

It’s funny you mention that, because that’s almost exactly what the arc after the anime is about: one particular character very much *hates* how the world praises heroes who win because the plot basically says so, despite how hard working the villains are, and the arc is largely about him.

King was a major reason I really liked season 2. OPM isn’t just a story about a guy who broke his limits, it’s now about that guy inspiring other people (both good and bad) to break their own limits as well.

The show is also about everyone else around Saitama as much as it is about him. He actually doesn’t get much more screen time in the second season than any of the other characters that have been introduced. He is often used to hang a lampshade on how absurd a character or situation is.

So to say an all powerful superhero would be bored is just a lazy ass story arc.

It’s a lock for this year’s Razzies.

Dude it’s Cats.  You have to kill it 9 times for it to stick.  Everyone knows that.

Yen+Adkins makes this the most important movie of the year.

I will watch this if for no other reason that to view the Yen/Adkins fight.

The presentation of Capcom Cup has been pretty wonky for the last two years. Definitely feels like they’ve struggled to get sponsor support for it.

Punk didn’t bother complaining about the lag when he was 2-0. This to me just sounds like he needs to blame something.

Dont you leave Karin out of this

So I was there. In the audience. Most of this appears to be pulled from social media.

Looked awful, poorly organized. That big announcement was lackluster and when they announced changes for 2020 the crowd seemed less than pleased. I can throw a better event in my basement.

Trash tier event. Get it together, Capcom.
