so publisher says “It’s okay to hack our game”, so people hack the game, then the publisher doesn’t like some of the hacks and has them taken down, but leaves other hacks alone, creating a very confusing situation.  Would be a whole lot easier if developers just stopped encouraging people to hack their games instead…

While I agree with the substance of your point, the Amico is using the Intellivision name and branding because a large number of the games they’ve showed for it are updates to classic Intellivision games, not Colecovision or 3DO games.  But, nobody under 40 is going to recognize or have any nostalgia for any of these…

The Ouya had absolutely no brand recognition. At least the Intellivision is a recognizable brand (for anyone who is 40+).
