Maybe that legitimate concern for a company that manages someone’s public image wouldn’t exist if there wasn’t an established culture of people hacking Windows computer games and doing this, oftentimes with the encouragement of developers and publishers.

I doubt it’s ignorance at all, they know full well that releasing a game (which is using a real person’s likeness) for Windows computers will attract the hackers that will hack the game and do all sorts of unauthorized stuff with it. The only people to blame are all the other publishers who actively encourage this

Awesome. Great to hear not everyone has lost their minds and thinks general purpose personal computers running Windows are the same as a dedicated gaming console. Good for them. Hopefully this pushes things and we see less of this Windows computer nonsense.

and yet in the West the only platform the game is available on is the one with a huge base of racists using it, would be nice to see the game released on a platform that matters, like it is in Japan.

I don’t get it?  What’s the probem?  I’ve heard for 4 years now how its so great that the Switch has a useless screen and battery and how so many people claim they never play it docked, only undock.  Now you’re criticizing someone actually using it undocked?

did they buy this from some desperate person who was put out of business because there’s haven’t been kids birthday parties in over a year and they had to sell their off their kid party game bus?

great, can’t be any worse than all of the previous animated Star Wars stuff that’s all pretty awful and unwatchable, especially all the terrible CG stuff over the last 20 years

TV shows on the GBA? Wasn’t that a $30 cart with an episode of some animated Nickelodeon show for children running at 2 frames per second?

Not to mention Netflix charges extra for 4K, making it the most expensive streaming service out there.

I assume very few people pay the premium it costs for 4K Netflix even if they have a 4K TV

Seems to me the “normal” thing a dedicated gaming console should do is okay games, not any of this multimedia nonsense.

Why is this a Nintendo problem?  Why is Nintendo to blame for any specific app or game that isn’t on their platform?  Maybe it’s just not worth the effort for Netflix or other streaming services to bother. People buy dedicated gaming consoles to play games, not any of this other multimedia nonsense.

I’d be excited too, but my default assumption has been that these games will be just as badly localized as all the others.  I know they wanted these games to be able to reach a broader audience but the way these games were localized really makes them hard to play

well at least it didn’t get burried in the article somewhere, you stated it right in the first sentence, this is just another “Microsoft is great” article and lets attack a company for actually trying to sell products to people who might be interested in buying them

it is bizarre that so many people want to use a general purpose personal computer as something to play games on, just as bizarre as people constantly pushing Microsoft’s absurd subscription plans that are unsustainable

I see its been a few days since the news about the Five Nights at Freddy’s guy, must be time to write another fake lego game puff piece and make no mention of the guy who takes all the credit for creating that “game”

Weird. I just booted the game up on my PS4, uploaded the save after the update for it came out. Then when the PS5 version of the game came out I downloaded that, grabbed the save and all the trophies popped. Never had to install the PS4 version of any game on my PS5

The only people with “school yard console war bollocks” are the people who think just because Microsoft does something one way it’s the “right” way and anything else is “wrong”.

Is it just me or is it weird to see a master system in the game?  Why isn’t it a Mark III?

great to see this article, now do one on the guy that takes all the credit for creating the fake Lego game instead of the endless numbers of articles praising it and making excuses
