The show usually gets away with flouting how processes take place in the real world because as the audience we don't care too much about those when the show has enough psychological tempo. In this episode, the tempo was quite low and as such they should have focussed on the processes a bit more.

Brilliant series. Loved the story the creators wanted to tell, enjoyed going down the rabbit hole of theories on the internet. A thoroughly enjoyable journey.

The grade thing had to do do with the prof's policy. That particular prof never gives anyone an A+, a detail that only someone who has actually been to school would know. So it was a fairly good way of keeping the Mike-did-not go-to-Harvard thread alive after Donna derailed it.

The commute is not a problem, the employee can read/ listen to news / catch up on social media / etc and not do it in the office. Win-Win.

But I still would not hire Eric because I am not a cat person. :D
