The fish oil supplements came about because of the success of ketogenic (or even low carb, high fat) diets, and the diet’s effect on good/bad cholesterol levels. One of the main push of the diet is to increase your intake of healthy fats to 2/3rds your daily calorie intake. Taking a fish oil pill won’t do that…
