Everyone was affected. But since Canada has a strong banking sector not nearly as affected by consumer debt, GDP actually grew for a couple quarters after, and had a nice cushion to prepare for what was coming, and was one of the last countries to be affected.

I used to work at Acura back in my former life as an advisor / tech. The TLs were alright, but we still had quite a few that came in with accessory issues, and the auto trans was a ticking time bomb.
