Ra's Al Ghul on this show has got to be the lamest/weakest villain ever. Am I the only one who thinks this?
FOREVER CRYING @ THAT FITZSIMMONS SCENE
yeah, I have no problem understanding everything he says either.
The Mantzoukas screaming was fucking glorious
right?! at first glance the cover picture looked so Happy Endings-esque that I instinctively clicked on it, only to have my heart crushed by this "Weird Loners" bullshit
no way! I thought "Loser Jeremy" is way funnier as a character than when he was just a generic British ladies' man. I loved how his character turned out, as someone who's still your typical charming man on the surface, but is actually severely insecure.
i'm not sure why but Steven's song about protecting Connie totally wrecked me, it was somehow much more emotional to me than Jail Break!
I loved everything about this episode, but I really hope that Alicia's attraction/whatever to Elfman is just a symbolic (I can date/sleep with whoever I want) thing. I don't think they have any chemistry together, he doesn't really make sense as anything other than a fling. I think Finn and Alicia are much more…
oh, I do realize that, hence my first point, in which I disagree with Sied's piece, which suggested that it is "always the double-edged sword" that historical dramas struggle with, since I can think of many shows/films with historical settings that manage to depict patriarchy without exclusively "centering" on…
"This is always the double-edged sword when it comes to historical dramas: How do you depict the patriarchal past without centering exclusively on the patriarchs?"
you're not the only one. I loved every single bit of this episode, except Hot Saucerman's bewildering intent on shutting the funniest bits down. As Chelsea Peretti pointed out, she thought reading the emails would be right up his alley, so it was very strange that Scott was not a fan of that at all.

"And I feel like cheering whenever I see Finn, who *is* invested with all those (usually) feminine ideas of goodness and suffering and victimhood and morality. It completely reverses the usual dynamic we see on TV, with the suffering wife/girlfriend/love interest being a counterpoint to a man's shifting morality and a…
I think getting rid of Castro is a smart move and will ultimately make for a more compelling storyline than Alicia vs Castro, because Alicia felt like she needed to run against Castro.
I really really hope that this season ends with Kalinda taking down Lemond Bishop. That is the only perfect send-off for her character: kicking some major ass.
NEVER FORGIVE. NEVER FORGET.

"Do you want to come with me?"
"…No?"
