This is true.  If only they had it as easy as older black folks, then young folks would turn out in droves.

So, it’ll be just like every election before 2008?

I’m pretty sure that we do not have evidence of millions and millions of 20-somethings actually showing up to vote. They showed up for rockstar Obama in 2008, but even then, their participation lagged other groups.

I’m with you on those feelings, but at some point last night it kind of hit me that if Bernie was so good at inspiring people to get to the polls, he would have done better last night because he would have inspired more people to vote.

Why would students want to hear from a multi-millionaire who was near the top of his industry for years who also has a good plan for maintaining health and wealth for years to come?

Obama used the words “hope and change”, but his policies were not all that progressive. Maybe compared to Clinton, he was every so slightly more progressive, but not by much.

“Beyond that, it says only what we already knew, in that younger Democrats are more progressive, and more interested in large-scale structural reform than that promised by the moderates among the Democratic Party candidates. “

People who lick other peoples’ fingers when eating are even worser.

I don’t give a flip about Iowa or Vermont either.

Well, here’s your chance.

We know the country is making some small amount of progress for racial equality when black women can capitalize on useless snake oil solutions for white women’s honeypots.

We are just going to have to disagree that Obama’s public option was what drove huge turnout in 2008.

This is a tough one. If done competently and fairly, county-wide voting centers would be great.

I’m not sure what 2008 you are remembering, but Obama ran a decidedly not progressive campaign.

...and Hillary proposed a massive overhaul to the healthcare system in the 90s, and she’s still a moderate centrist.

“Democrats have only won ONCE with a ‘moderate centrist’ and that was Bill Clinton...”

Ah, I see, Black folks are just misled and need guidance back to awareness.

Absolutely.  Warren has no realistic shot at all.

Unfortunately, at least so far, the Bernie voter turnout machine has not produced greater numbers of folks who actually show up and vote.

Do you have a suggestion for who has a better than snowballs chance to beat Trump?
