This seems like such a big risk for the Rangers, taking a foreign player who’s never really played on US ice this high in the draft.
I’m assuming you left off part of the story where this photo-taking-lady accidentally met her demise by falling into a woodchipper.
Interesting that you think his victims need to be random when sexual assault is overwhelmingly perpetrated by acquaintances (unless you are one of those who don’t think it is “real” assault to try to force a friend to have sex - but you wouldn’t be one of those people, would you?).
One could argue that insisting on high cash bails for upper-middle-class white folks is the exact way to generate changes to the cash bail system. Otherwise, white folks don’t care.
While maybe not a flight risk, some folks with vaginas might consider him a danger to the community.
The cash bail system does suck, but were you one of his female classmates, you might view him as a bit of a danger to the community.
Offense: Needs 35 yards to get in field goal position.
Hell, we love the word. There is even a white-owned Mexican food chain called Gringo’s.
Wait a second, folks think Peterson is a Hall of Fame running back?
Just to highlight how fucked up all this is.
I’d take on 90% of MLB players before I’d take on 10% of NBA players.
I do not want Biden to be president, like at all. Well, I want him to be President more than Trump, but I’d take just about anyone else on the democrat’s side over Biden.
I think the difference is that everyone is Trump’s constituent, but AOC may only have obligation to her specific constituents.
Your last point is perfect. I have had a few people with a lightbulb going off and an apparently sincere, “You mean women don’t like that?”, and then a, “well we need to stop doing that”.
This is something we’ve used in the past. It is frustrating, however, that some men have to think of their moms/grandmothers/wives/daughters in order to be a semi-decent human.
Getting folks to understand the “othering” is really a good thing. I’m in Houston, so there is a lot of oil and gas industry here. With women already being under-represented in those industries, it is easy for men to perceive them as “other” and then intentionally and unintentionally act in ways that make it worse.
Seldom a good idea to respond to someone who leads off with that much snark, and someone with even a slightly less cynical attitude would assume that things women have said are already incorporated into the training and they might also believe that coming up with more examples when trying to train a bunch of sexist…
I’d have to disagree on car seats within reason.
Keep in mind, men are perfectly capable of reading situations and managing social cues when working with other men. They are not incapable of doing this shit. They willfully ignore it with women because they think they can get away with it.
