We will see it, I assume, if the sneak preview had Kalinda saying "Will's dead" on the phone to Alicia.

I agree - I mean, take the Peter/Alicia fight. What prompted that fight in particular? How does Michael J. Fox come back? How does this change Kalinda's career plans? How is Peter's corruption scandal going to be affected? There's lots we haven't seen yet.
The Kings were VERY wise in including that sneak peek. It was them begging everyone to not leave the show - it worked for me.
I hope it was an open acknowledgement and promise to change. I never see people comment on how funny those jokes are. They're very base humor for a smart show. Those moments are like the TV show that sides with the bully quarterback, which if you notice…not really a lot out there. I feel like thinking it's acceptable…
Totally agree. This could have been even just a girl who goes on a birthright kind of trip and is stuck there, or opts to live there and explore her heritage.
Those are two passable actors who can pass for white or "vaguely ethnic." Most Arab actors don't have that chance, and they shouldn't have to pass to earn roles anyway.
Oh I FULLY agree. We need better roles for black actors, historical and current.
ABC Family's schtick though is usually, at least publicly, exposing America to different kinds of families. There's a show Twisted right now with two leads of color, they have the bi-racial lesbian mothers on The Fosters, etc. They make these shows so discussions will happen but their public image rests on these shows…
What is this privilege Arab-Americans have? That they're usually cast as terrorists or terrorist's wives?
I'd LOVE a Harlem Renaissance movie, wow. I loved the jazz imagery and references in Princess and the Frog, and how special would that movie be? Someone get it made!!
That movie was hailed because it was a true account penned by a black man, featuring real characters. It gave lots of black actors the chance to shine and had a lot of black hands involved in the making, including McQueen and Ridley. The most recent slave movie otherwise was done by Tarantino, a white man, so this was…
That perception obviously isn't correct, as you and I agree, but I'm not sure if the film cemented that notion as The Butler and The Help did come out recently. We've also had films about Malcolm X and other black figures. As someone who is a strong advocate for minority representation in media, I think we need better…
You'd think the Italian group is overzealous, and yet how many Italian characters can you name that aren't tied to the mafia or to the Joey Tribbiani/Jersey Shore prototype? As an Italian, I first thought that group was being pissy but then…they're sort of right. You occasionally see a "normal" character with a last…
I'm thinking representation of Arab-Americans and a Middle Eastern perspective, but kidnapping doesn't make for a positive representation to either of those parties. Unfortunately, several shows that featured Middle Eastern premises haven't taken off - there was a TLC show and one network sitcom if I remember. I don't…
Adam Scott directed that episode with Ron's headphones, I believe, if that's the example you're thinking of.
Didn't look at the credits but was happy about the phonecall and thought "oh how nice, Rashida did some voice work off camera to help them out". Then she showed up and I got really really excited and giddy. Very nice surprise for me.
It's very stupid. I think Jerry called himself the wrong name and they were like "aha Jerry you're so dumb you don't even know your own name" so they started calling him Lenny and then Larry. It's, again, very stupid. This was like 10 episodes ago.
It feels like a chore for me, too. Sadly, most of my shows have become chores. New Girl this season is….half if that as good as season 2 and I'm not enjoying Archer or Suburgatory as much. Brooklyn 99 is appointment TV for me this year. My older shows? Not as much.
If he leaves…that's it. They've had Ann and Chris leave, then to have Chris go? How would that be explained? They would never divorce him. They'd have to let Aubrey leave too. It seems like with Shauna they might be bringing in substitute characters, so we'll see if they're trying to replace but if not…they'd be…
I love when Ben goes to visit Ann and she reveals Leslie's feelings, plus Ann's mixtape meddling and "ask him about his penis." All of that showed that Ann understood the kind of man Leslie would need in life, and she was totally right.
